The city of Coimbra is very well served by both frequent bus and train routes, from most major cities and towns in Portugal, and particularly Lisbon (Lisbon airport) and Porto (Porto airport). It is less than 200 km from Lisbon and 120 km from Porto. Both Lisbon and Porto airports are well-recognized international airports connected to most international cities. There is also a Shuttlebus service from each airport.

For those travelling from outside of the European Union, it is very advisable to seek your travel visa in good time (4-6 months before the event). The process can take some time and in addition this will also give us the organizers time to prepare the letter of support to assist your visa request at the Portuguese consulates.
